Traffic is only the hand-off
An ad can place the right offer in front of someone searching with intent. The destination must still confirm relevance, explain the choice, provide credible evidence and make the next action clear. A click is not a completed customer journey.
Check that the message stays consistent
Compare the search term, ad promise, landing-page headline, proof and call to action. As an illustrative example, someone looking for commercial refrigeration repairs needs a relevant service page, local coverage and a clear way to describe the fault. Sending that person to a general homepage leaves them to find the promised service again.
Mobile friction often carries the cost
Check the page on the device and connection conditions customers actually use. Slow loading, weak hierarchy, obstructive interface controls, difficult forms and missing local context can make an otherwise relevant campaign appear unproductive.
Measure a useful business action
Optimisation needs a meaningful event such as a qualified enquiry, booking step or verified call. Keep names, email addresses, phone numbers and message text out of analytics. Measurement should clarify the journey without exposing personal information.
Fix the constraint before increasing spend
Review intent, message match, mobile usability, page speed, evidence, lead handling and tracking before assuming the answer is a larger budget. Sometimes the most valuable campaign decision is to improve the destination first.
